I felt her hands tighten round my heart
Her beauty was something to behold but her touch would leave you dead and cold
Her kiss it was a poison in disguise
And the beauty in her eyes it turned me blind
As her touch it numbed the life within my soul
And my breath and heartbeat finally she stole
As she dragged me down beneath those crushing waves

Today just isn’t the same, the finger looking for someone to blame
Until it finds a direction, we’ll all be pointing in vain
He looks me straight in the eye, says “Why did so many people die?
Who was it crashed those planes in the sky? Why did they cause all this pain?”
How am I supposed to reply, there’s no logic to justify
As I hold back the tears in my eyes and say

A sense of fear and boding slowly filling up her mind

A care home locked in isolation, protecting those in need
A resident is looking back on life in ‘43
He sits beside the fire and thinks he’s had it worse before

A company director takes her final journey home
She closes up her laptop and switches off her phone
Sitting with her children she finally has some time
